Schedule B — FTTB Broadband

← All terms & conditions

Version: af-sched-fttb-bb-2026-08 · Effective: 28 August 2026 Read with the Active Fibre Master Services Agreement.

B1. What this service is

B1.1 A business-grade broadband fibre connection delivered over a third-party FNO's infrastructure, together with our internet access service. It is a shared, contended service.

B1.2 This Schedule applies to FTTB broadband products. If your Order is for a dedicated service (Dedicated Internet Access, a dedicated fibre link, or any product sold with an availability target), Schedule C applies instead and this Schedule does not.

B1.3 Our service is the internet connection only. Internal cabling, LAN, Wi-Fi coverage, networking, hardware and project management are quoted separately.

B2. No guarantees

B2.1 FTTB Broadband is a best-effort service. We do not guarantee uptime, speed, throughput or latency. There is no service level agreement and no service credits for downtime under this Schedule.

B2.2 Advertised speeds are maximum line speeds. Actual throughput varies with contention, the FNO network, your equipment and your internal network.

B2.3 If you need a guaranteed availability target, service credits, or committed throughput, you need a dedicated product under Schedule C. We will quote one on request.

B2.4 Faults on the FNO network are logged and managed by us with the FNO on your behalf. FNO repair times are not within our control and are not guaranteed.

B3. Term and cancellation

B3.1 The initial term is stated in your signed Order. If no term is stated, the service is month-to-month.

B3.2 Cancellation requires one (1) Calendar Month's written notice to accounts@activefibre.co.za, effective from the first to the last day of the following month.

B3.3 Early termination. If you cancel before the end of the initial term, you remain liable for the full balance of the monthly charges for the remainder of that term, together with the amounts listed in clause 4.1 of the Master Services Agreement (unrecovered installation, build, subsidised equipment, FNO once-off charges and supplier cancellation costs).

B3.4 If you relocate before the end of the initial term, the existing service is billed to the end of its term unless we agree in writing to transfer the term to the new address.

B4. Equipment

B4.1 FNO equipment installed at the premises belongs to the FNO and must not be removed.

B4.2 Equipment we supply remains our property unless purchased outright, and must be returned on termination in good order. We will arrange collection at the end of the cancellation term.

B4.3 Standard business routers we supply may not include Wi-Fi. Where Wi-Fi is required, it is quoted separately.

B5. Site requirements

B5.1 You are responsible for: landlord or body-corporate approval; internal cabling and LAN; a suitable equipment position with ventilation and, where specified, a minimum 3U cabinet; stable power and UPS provision; an on-site contact for installation and for the FNO site survey; and compliance with health and safety requirements at your premises.
